(Watkins Glen, NY) 6 August 2008– After round ten at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve last Friday night, the Rolex Sports Car Series will keep up the pace with another Friday night feature for the two-hour Crown Royal 200 sprint race at Watkins Glen in upstate New York.

And Matt Plumb can’t wait.

After some small mechanical and technical issues hampered Plumb’s results in the Rumbumracing.com BMW-Riley, he is looking forward to a clean slate race weekend as the Rolex Series stages the first of two consecutive Daytona Prototype-only events on the 2008 schedule. The Crown Royal 200 is being run as part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race weekend.

There is good reason for optimism on Plumbs part, having set some impressive times as he drove nearly the full race distance of the Glen Six in June.

Backing up that performance, the Rumbumracing.com team was ultra-quick in testing on the Watkins Glen short course on Monday following the 6 Hour, setting the fastest unofficial time of the day and giving the whole team a boost in advance of Plumb’s breakthrough podium finish at Mid-Ohio later in June.
